How to Create a To-Do in Client Keeper

This guide will walk you through the process of creating a new task or reminder in your Client Keeper To-Do list. You can set a date, time, and even link the task to a specific contact.

What You'll Need

  • The Client Keeper app installed on your device.
  • (Optional) A contact already saved in the app if you wish to link the To-Do to a specific person.

Steps

1. Navigate to the To-Do Screen

  • From the main screen, look at the navigation bar at the bottom.
  • Tap on the To-Do icon, which looks like a checkmark inside a circle.
  • You will now see your main To-Do list.

2. Start a New To-Do

  • Tap the purple plus icon (+) located in the top-right corner of the screen.
  • This will open the "Create To-Do" page.

3. Fill in the Task Details

On the "Create To-Do" screen, you will fill out a form with the details of your task.

a. Title: Tap the "To-Do Title" field and type a short, clear name for your task (e.g., Meet with Client).
b. Description: Tap the "To-Do Description" field to add any extra notes or details. This is optional.
c. Date: Tap Select Date. A calendar will appear. Choose the date for your task and tap Select.
d. Time: Tap Select Time. A time picker will pop up. Scroll to set the correct hour, minute, and AM/PM, then tap Select.
e. Repeat: Tap Select Frequency. A list will appear. Choose how often you want the task to repeat (e.g., One Time, Every Week).
f. Contact: Tap Choose Contact. You will see a list of your saved contacts. Tap the checkbox next to the person you want to link this task to, then tap Save.

4. Create the To-Do

  • After filling in all the necessary details, tap the purple Create button at the bottom of the screen.
  • You will be taken back to your "Current" To-Do list, where you will see your new task listed with its due date and associated contact.

Troubleshooting

  • "Create" button is grayed out or inactive: Make sure you have filled in the required fields, especially the Title and Date.
  • Can't find a contact: If the contact you're looking for doesn't appear in the "Choose Contact" list, you may need to go back to the "Contacts" section and add them first.

Next Steps

  • To edit a task, simply tap on it from the To-Do list.
  • Once you have finished a task, tap the empty circle to the left of the title to mark it as complete. It will then move to the "Completed" tab.
